"There are so many great places to eat here in Greece it's hard to choose. Barbounaki in Glyfada is a place we often go to. Our order consists of shrimp orzo (my sons favorite), taramosalata (fish roe dip), grilled octopus, sardines, they grill them halved with chopped tomato on top, it's almost like a sardine bruschetta, but without the bread, and we add a big green salad always complete with the juiciest tomatoes.”

"Without a doubt my favorite activity is going to the beach. There are many organized beaches in the south of Athens (Athens Riviera) where we live, so it makes it easy to rinse off after and grab a cafe freddo (the most delicious iced blended espresso) or a quick bite from the beach cafe.
In the spring and fall we find ourselves downtown a bit more and enjoy Athens National Garden for a play at the park and to say hello to all the turtles, ducks, and goats that reside there. We also like walking around the Acropolis when the tourists have gone and the weather cools down a bit. ”

A special place that I hold close is Lefkada. We went on our honeymoon and stayed at a quaint airbnb by the water. It's an island on the Ionian Sea with the clearest light blue waters and beautiful greenery.
