WHO WE ARE
Frank & Eileen was born in 2009 when former engineer Audrey McLoghlin sought to reinvent the button-up for women —a category previously focused solely on men. Inspired by Audrey’s Irish grandparents—our brand namesakes, Frank & Eileen—we have grown slowly and intentionally from our best-Italian-fabric-in-the-world-obsessed beginnings. Now a globally recognized fashion brand, Frank & Eileen is a certified woman-owned, woman-led business that has retained 100% ownership while working with the same ethical, sustainable manufacturers for over a decade. Our mission is to model and support female entrepreneurship as a force for good—all from our family-friendly HQ in sunny California.
WHAT WE STAND FOR
-
Woman-Owned, Woman-Led, Mother-Approved
-
We are a certified woman-owned company with a leadership team that is 100% female. To support young parents, we’ve built a life-size, two-story, fully-stocked dollhouse in our headquarters for new mothers to breastfeed, pump, or simply spend time with their babies, preventing work and life from being at odds with one another.
-
Sustainable from the Start
-
We believe in building wardrobes — and businesses — with integrity. From day one, Frank & Eileen has partnered exclusively with ethical and sustainable manufacturers to craft pieces using the finest raw materials found in nature.
-
The 100 Club
-
By retaining 100% ownership and resisting the allure of venture capital funding, we have the advantage of answering only to Frank & Eileen’s true stakeholders—our employees, our customers, our local community, and our environment.
-
B Corp
-
To us, certifications matter. We’re incredibly proud to be a B Corp. In good company, our impact score among globally recognized U.S. apparel companies trails only Patagonia, and we received the highest impact score for any woman-owned U.S. fashion brand.
-
Our Giving Pledge
-
We believe women are changing the world. Frank & Eileen is proud to pledge $10 million over the next 10 years to nurture the female leaders of tomorrow. EDUCATE OUR GIRLS, CHANGE OUR WORLD.
WHAT WE DO
Part of being sustainable since the start is about fanatically seeking out the world’s best textile and production partners. Audrey hit it off with Silvio Albini (the late patriarch of the storied family-owned Albini mill) from their first hello. Otherworldly fabrics aside, Albini leads the charge for 100% responsible practices in the textile industry. We’re so proud that every fabric we produce in Italy can be traced down to the field of its origin and meets the Oeko-Tex® Standard 100 global certification for the absence of harmful chemicals.
Five years ago, when we introduced our knitwear capsule, we looked to our own backyard. Because Sunny California produces the most superlative knitted garments in the world, we chose to partner with Los-Angeles-based artisans. Every piece is knit, sewn, washed, and dyed locally—creating jobs and demanding B Corp-approved fair labor practices from our partners. As we expand into new design categories, we are dedicated to continuing our journey to use female entrepreneurship as a force for good.
