FRANK & EILEEN: Vintner's Daughter is considered a cult, clean, performance-driven skincare brand; what inspired you to create your hero products?
APRIL: For decades, I, like many, was dealing with cystic acne and discoloration, using what I thought were the very best “luxury” products. Until I realized these expensive products often have .01% active ingredients, the rest being low quality filler that can be toxic. This experience was the genesis of Vintner’s Daughter. I wanted to build a true luxury skincare company that made products from the finest ingredients in the world. We use time-honored techniques to bring profound balance and lasting health to the skin—our latest launch, the Ritual & Renewal Set, is the perfect example.

F&E: You grew up in a winemaking family in Napa (hence Vintner's Daughter!); how has your personal style developed throughout your journey from the vineyards to skincare entrepreneur?
APRIL: I consider myself incredibly lucky to have spent so much time in a community that places such a high value on craftsmanship and quality. Like winemaking, we at Vintner’s Daughter are patient in our approach and understand that in order to make the very best of something, you must start with the finest raw materials. I apply this same philosophy to fashion and focus on well-made pieces that will serve me for years to come. I like to think not about my next purchase, but my last. As a result, I only buy what I love and cherish it for years, not a season.
