FRANK & EILEEN: You met as college friends and ultimately became co-founders. Tell us the story of founding Weezie.

LIZ: Our love for towels began when I was registering for them while newly engaged. The wide range of prices and confusing jargon made the process overwhelming, and the embroidery process was cumbersome and lengthy. At the time, Lindsey was at Columbia Business School. We started chatting about my experience, and as two girlfriends do, we began brainstorming. Before we knew it, we were ideating on a brand of towels that bring both luxury and joy into one’s home.

F&E: We love the thoughtful details in Weezie towels—the hanging hooks, button closures in robes for perfectly cuffed sleeves, delicate piping, and custom embroidery across all collections. What is your creative process for designing new pieces for Weezie, and what are some of your favorite products or designs so far?

LIZ: My creative process really varies depending on what I'm designing—whether it's a new product or an iteration of an existing one. Regardless, we always prioritize quality first. We’re quality-obsessed, and if it’s not perfect, we don’t bring it to market. I often feel inspired to create things I wish existed or solve problems I encounter myself, like the attached tie on our robe or buttons on the sleeves. These were solutions to issues I personally faced, like losing the tie in the wash or getting my sleeves wet while washing my face.

I’m very aware of these details. Design-wise, I have strong opinions on color and pattern; I like what I like and draw inspiration from so many things. Whether it's travel, other brands, coffee table books, Pinterest, a walk around Savannah, or my children’s drawings, inspiration is everywhere if you’re paying attention! Currently, I’m working on a collection inspired by my trip to the Dominican Republic. I stayed at the beautiful Playa Grande, designed by Celerie Kemble, and it inspired me to create a color-drenched collection for summer 2025—stay tuned!

F&E: You’ve collaborated with several female artists and designers at Weezie, including Lulie Wallace, Heather Chadduck, and Kate Ridder. What has been so special about these partnerships and collections, and what do you most enjoy about working alongside other female founders?

LIZ: We've long admired these female artists and designers, so partnering with them is truly such a privilege. Not only do these individuals create beautiful designs, but our customers love to see new patterns at play and it’s so exciting to bring these unique designs to life! It's been so fun to work on a variety of products, from Powder Bath Towels to Pool Lounge Covers, and we can't wait to share more collections in the future. As fellow females in the industry, it’s important to continue supporting one another and it’s always so rewarding!

F&E: Weezie prides itself on the highest quality materials and craftsmanship, working with a third-generation family-owned factory in Portugal to develop your luxury bath line. What makes the Weezie bath towel so special?

LINDSEY: Weezie towels use the highest quality materials (100% long staple organic cotton) and an innovative spinning technology that results in the most luxurious towel on the market. 100% long-staple cotton has longer, stronger, and smoother fibers that result in a softer, more resilient towel. Our cotton is also OEKO-TEX® certified, which means no harmful chemicals are used during its production. Our proprietary cotton spinning technique is truly our secret sauce–it traps air in each and every fiber, making our towels extremely absorbent, soft, and fluffy. We also went as far as to make our towels hypoallergenic and low-linting! There really is nothing like our towel on the market.

F&E: Weezie has expanded to other areas of the home, including the most beautiful patterned kitchen towels that are incredibly functional and chic—the perfect host gift. What’s your go-to Weezie product to include in a gift for family or friends?

LINDSEY: We’d be lying if we said our best-selling Makeup Towels weren’t the first thing that came to mind. More recently, we’ve launched Powder Bath and Fingertip Towels, which are the easiest way to spruce up your bathroom without the hefty price tag. I love the whipstitch edge, and adding custom embroidery makes any gift feel super personal. Oh, and there’s no ironing required, so you’ll definitely be the favorite daughter or friend!

F&E: How would you describe your personal style, and what are some of the most treasured pieces in your wardrobe you reach for again and again?

LIZ: My personal style is such a mix—high, low, classic, trendy, easy, and not-so-easy. I seek out those styles at different times, but no matter what, my look is always considered.I love how functional the F&E pieces are, I know I can be super comfortable but feel put together. A classic white button-up can live so many lives in your closet, and I love how many silhouettes F&E has. Right now, I am loving the Silvio–the crop is the perfect length for a front tuck, but the length goes so well with anything from jeans to shorts to a skirt. I wore it to the airport yesterday and dressed it up last week for a dinner out.

LINDSEY: Life is so busy right now, that I would describe my personal style as classic and most importantly easy! I am five months postpartum with my third child, so I am gravitating towards simple, relaxed styles and sprucing up my look with fun accessories and shoes. My go to F&E looks include the Joedy button-up and the Theo classic tee. Also, you really can’t beat an easy summer dress in this Atlanta heat—I have been loving the Daphne dress for this time of year!

Thanks for cozying up for 'a cuppa with' Liz and Lindsey!
