FRANK & EILEEN: You juggle so many incredible roles—founder of The Cool Mom Co., podcast host of The Cool Mom Code, co-host of Honest Renovations with Jessica Alba, not to mention being a mother, wife, actress, model, and cook! You do all of this while supporting other brands and women with such positivity! How do you manage it all and stay so grounded?

LIZZY: I’ve had great role models and have always surrounded myself with loving, strong, and insightful women. Of all the roles I embody, I remind myself that I’ve chosen them, and I feel endlessly grateful. Becoming a mother ignited a different side of me, allowing me to show up more fully and more connected in my work. Food, recipes, and cooking are part of my DNA. I watched my mother and grandmother serve love on a plate throughout my childhood, and it brings me so much joy to do the same for the people I love and to share those recipes with the world.

F&E: The Cool Mom Co. blends modern parenting with lifestyle. What inspired you to create this platform and podcast? Can you share some of the most impactful conversations you’ve had along the way?

LIZZY: As a new mom, I noticed a lack of diversity-driven platforms that were geared toward mothers, not just babies. I wanted to remind myself that I could still be my full self as a woman while loving being a mom. The two weren’t mutually exclusive—they could co-exist. The Cool Mom Co. was created to celebrate the intersection of womanhood and motherhood in a cool way, through food, home, style, and lifestyle. In turn, The Cool Mom Code Podcast brings the website to life with honest, relatable, on-trend conversations with celebrities and inspiring mompreneurs. It’s been such a heart-opening experience to learn from so many powerful women. Be sure to listen to an episode or two for an inspiring, feel-good moment!

F&E: Community is at the heart of The Cool Mom Co. For those looking to build a brand or platform with a strong community focus, what advice would you give to aspiring entrepreneurs and creatives?

LIZZY: Know your audience, understand the gap you fill in their lives, and always keep their voice in mind with every decision you make. One of the reasons I started The Cool Mom Code podcast was to bring our audience closer to the journey—allowing them to listen to another mother’s story, one they could relate to or learn from, through a first-person narrative.

F&E: Through your work with The Cool Mom Co., have you rediscovered many personal passions, such as cooking or motherhood, that now shape the content and direction of your platform?

LIZZY: Cooking has always filled my soul; it is truly the heart of my home and my love language to my family and friends. Leaning into the food and home spaces just feels natural and authentic to the phase of life I’m in. I’m excited to share more of my passions with my audience—it's the best feeling when someone comments saying they’ve tried a recipe I posted!

F&E: Cooking plays an important role in your life, even with your busy schedule. How do you find the time, and what does cooking mean to you in terms of healthy, intentional meals for your family? Do you have any tips for juggling it all while making meals a meaningful part of family life?

LIZZY: I’ve always been a creative person, and over time, it has surfaced in various ways—writing, creating shows, acting, art—but cooking has always been my greatest passion. I find a sense of peace in the kitchen that I don’t always get in other parts of my day. Weekdays can be hectic with my husband’s, my own, and our kids’ busy schedules, but meal prepping helps a lot. I usually have a loose plan for the week’s meals and spend Sundays chopping, dicing, and prepping. Another hack is growing many of my own herbs, lettuces, and peppers in a hydroponic farming stand—I snip or harvest right before dinner. On weekends, I have more time to explore and test recipes, which I love since the slower pace makes me feel less rushed.

F&E: As a co-host on Honest Renovations with Jessica Alba, you’ve gained some unique insights into home design and renovation. What are some key lessons you've learned that have influenced your own home or style?

LIZZY: We all need storage, storage, and more storage as our families grow! It's essential to make your space work for you, not against you. On the show, we emphasize the importance of having aesthetically beautiful storage solutions and even using creative alternatives to hide storage in plain sight. Since the start of season 1, I’ve built so many hidden storage solutions in my own home!

F&E: Raising daughters while being a modern mom must come with its own set of joys and challenges. How has motherhood influenced your approach to both personal and professional life?

LIZZY: The saying “all eyes on me” has never felt more true than when raising daughters. They truly are a reflection of me in such different ways. Motherhood accentuated a space in me that allowed me to feel fully empowered as a woman, mother, wife, and within my career. Every decision matters. I believe that how I choose to show up in the world directly impacts how my daughters may see the potential of their possibilities. My goal is to make sure they always know their potential is limitless.

F&E: Los Angeles is such a creative hub with its own unique aesthetic. How has the city’s style influenced your approach to interior design and how you style your own space?

LIZZY: I love a mix of a Cali-cool vibe with organic and modern design elements infused. I feel most at ease blending the clean lines and minimalist approach of modern design with warm, earthy accents like cozy textiles, natural materials, and a ton of greenery in a relaxed aesthetic that effortlessly results in light, airy, welcoming, and livable spaces. I love the idea of a space feeling aesthetically pleasing but also lived in, where family or friends can take over and enjoy. Living in California really allows me to utilize the outdoors as well and truly have the indoor/outdoor living experience.

F&E: How would you describe your personal style, and what are some of the most treasured pieces in your wardrobe you reach for again and again?

LIZZY: I like to keep it casual chic on most weekdays. I love pieces that can go from school drop-off to on set to a dinner meeting. For me, that may be a classic pair of jeans, a pointy-toed flat, a classic Frank & Eileen button-up, and a staple F&E sweater nearby for layering. On weekends, you can find me at the farmers market or running errands in the Frank & Eileen one-piece jumpsuits (that I get endless compliments on!).
