A Button-Up Shirt
EILEEN IS STYLING EILEEN IN WHITE CASUAL COTTON PAIRED WITH DERRY IN 2001 WASH.
At F&E, we’re known for our crisp white button-ups–they’re perfect for anchoring countless looks in your wardrobe. Whether you’re effortlessly rolling your sleeves, doing a French tuck, popping the collar, or tying a chic front knot, here are endless ways to express your personal style.
How To: Pop Your Collar
For a classic preppy look, lift up the shirt collar and gently tug the ends upwards so that it stands up. If you prefer, you can always use a spray starch to keep your collar popped.
How To: Roll Your Sleeves
Fold the bottom of your sleeve halfway up your arm, then fold in half again. Fold down the cuff and straighten the sleeve until you achieve your desired look.
How To: Perfect the French Tuck
A French tuck is an easy way to elevate and add balance to your look. Tuck the front hem of your button-up into your waistband, leaving a few inches from the sides and back loose. Gently pull on the fold to even out the shape.
How To: Do a Full Tuck
A full tuck allows you to create a slim, flattering silhouette that’s great for more fitted button-ups. Tuck the bottom hem of your shirt into your waistband, working your way around the sides and back. Gently tug at the bottom of the fabric to even out the tuck.
How To: Tie the Perfect Knot
A front knot adds a touch of playfulness to any oversized button-up. You can leave the bottom button of your shirt unbuttoned so that you have more fabric to work with. Take one end of your shirt hem, cross it over the other end and tie a loop. Take the same end and tie a second loop again to complete the knot.

While you don't have to—we certainly love the relaxed look of an untucked button-up—you absolutely can. We like either a French tuck or a full tuck, depending on the bottom you're wearing, and the fit of your button-up.
