Our Jameson Skirt transforms the signature contour waistband and utility pockets of our best-selling jogger into an easy, comfy skirt that takes you from day to night—just switch up your shoes!

  • Milan is 5'9" wearing a size 4
  • This tactile, year-round weight is not too light, not too heavy–just right. Made exclusively for F&E, this fabric feels like a smooth, lightly textured peach.
  • 97% Cotton, 3% Elastane. The raw cotton comes from the U.S. and is spun into yarn in Puglia, Italy. The unprocessed, unfinished fabric is sent to our Italian partner’s mill for dyeing, finishing, and quality control.

Wrap a soft measuring tape under your arms and around the fullest part of your chest. Avoid pulling the measuring tape too tightly.

NATURAL WAIST

Stand up straight and relax your stomach, then wrap a soft measuring tape at the midway point between the bottom of your ribcage and your hip bone. Avoid pulling the measuring tape too tightly.

HIP

Stand with your feet hips width distance and flat, then wrap a soft measuring tape around the widest point of your hip.

Pro Tip: Sitting down while you take this measurement ensures accuracy and provides added comfort for the best fit.

INSEAM

Use a soft measuring tape to measure from the highest point of your inner thigh to the bottom of where the pant will hit. For instance, if the inseam is 27”, you’ll measure 27” down.

Pro Tip: Measuring with shoes on lets you see the full picture and ensures your pants fall exactly where you want them.

Just Too Short

"I recently had the pleasure of going to the F&E flagship store in NYC where I could try on everything I have always wanted to. I loved this Jameson skirt. I tried on the 4 which fit slightly relaxed so I could wear it a little lower. I really wish they would add two inches to the length. I am 65, fit and young at heart but I feel like this length, for me, is just too short. Please please please consider making a slightly longer version, not too long though. The F&E store is gorgeous, great staff and I left with some Eileens to add to my collection."

Great easy wear skirt camel twill skirt

"This skirt is a wonderful style and the fabric and colour are great too. My only disappointment is that this twill version is a little shorter than the performance linen version one I already own. It was already short enough in my opinion so I don’t like this change. I thought it would be the same measurements as my original Jameson skirt. I’m going to wear it anyway as it is still lovely."

Husband loves it

"Initially I thought the fit was a bit short, but my husband thinks it reflects my style and age well. At 54, I thought maybe a skirt above my knees was a no-no, but this skirt is not as short as the FE shorts. I love it with my Eileens and sneakers or Berks. In the fall, I think it will look great with boots. I didn’t find it too small. I bought my regular size."

Cute, but not for me

"I really liked the fit of the Jameson skirt and the lightweight fabric was amazing, but I’m not a fan of the metal slide button clasp thing. I find it difficult and annoying to maneuver in addition to the hidden inside button. My preference is that F&E would NOT use these slide-metal buttons and just stick with a normal button. Due to the price of this skirt and not being totally “in love” with it due to that button thing, I decided to return it. But… the size 6 fit tts and was very flattering on my frame. Very comfortable."

"I really wanted to like the Jameson skirt. It’s cute, but way too short on me. I’m around 5’4” . I even went up a size so I could wear it lower on hips in order to be longer - still a no go. Please make a longer version!"
